Th'BIG day...

so, after over a year of painting, bleeding, not taking a real job and not sleeping the journey ends tonight! Really excited. Really humbled by all the support. Anyways, hope to see you all there (or atleast the after-party)...

the biBIG news though is the small fortune I spent yesterday on a new camera and film to construct a new improved Holgaroid that will have film for a very long time.

...aaaand done!

finished painting the other night. pretty amazing the end of this long and dificult journey but totally relieved that I actually got it all done! now onto glossing/sanding and prepping them all which will take the rest of the month...

went to the NHM last Friday to see Annuals and the Mountain Goats and to get a few last photographs I needed for my show and to get a last shot of inspiration as the show date approaches.

AND did The Hunger last Saturday at the cemetary which turned out to be the best way to celebrate. Such a perfect movie for that venue!

ok, back to 2 weeks of backbreaking glossing (whoof -I think I can do this).

bye.

Jurassic Technology?!?!

so, I'm lame and the last person in the world to not got to the Museum of Jurassic Technology ( http://www.mjt.org/ ). Needed to go before my show to get inspired about how to display the pieces and describe them in their plaquerds.

reminded me SO much of LOST. if you're lame like I was I can't recommend going enouph and am completely at a loss for words as to how to describe what it is. just go...

down to the last couple of paintings and am learning to love fire...
